weekend of the 29th

This was a busy weekend!

 

"WE" got adopted by a new dog that just showed up, no micro-chip, and nobody has came forward to claim him. we are thinking someone drove out to the country and dumped him. We have named him Rusty Shackleford (but he just goes by his first name)

 

Spent Thursday night and Friday night building this in the barn....

For these guys.

Camp Truck

We bought it last year, it needed some repairs but it was a good price and a manual transmission. first off it needed a tune-up, the injection spider needed replaced, and the O2 sensor. We will be using it to pull our trailer to get firewood in the coming months and we will be camping while doing it so I built a rack for our Cascadia Vehicle Tent that we bought while in Wyoming.

 

I had to go back and add another bracket because I completely forgot my CVT awning.

 

 

The last week I have been changing fluids to all Amsoil Synthetic and changed the leaking rear output seal on the transfer case. Lastnight Levi wanted to help so he pulled the fill plug out of the rear diff, filled it, and reinstalled the plug.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Homestead

My wonderful wife battled the heat yesterday and got 9.5 pounds of blackberries and only picked one side of the blackberry patch, and there's still a lot of green left. Some of these will be flavoring our homemade yogurt, some will go to pies, then we will probably have to go pick more for jam.

The peaches are just about ready to pick also, at least on the tree I didn't try as hard to kill with the weedeater.
